After my studies in electrical engineering as well as in metallurgy and materials science graduating as an engineer in the field of metal forming technology at RWTH Aachen, I began my training to become a Patent Attorney in 1991.

Since 1995, I practice as a German Patent Attorney and as a European Patent Attorney, and since 1996, as a European Trademark and Design Attorney.

At first, I worked with an international Patent Law Firm. In 2006, I was one of the founding partners of “Müller & Schubert, Patentanwälte”. Since 2020, I have been part of the office partnership emescon with my Patent Law Firm Müller.

I serve a broad portfolio of technical mandates that has grown steadily over the years. These are in particular mandates in the field of general mechanical engineering, metallurgy and materials science technology, general electrical engineering, plastics engineering, optics and information and communications technology. Recently I have been working more and more in the field of renewable energies and new technologies, especially also in the context of intelligent and integrated technologies.

Besides my work as a Patent Attorney, I was a long-term member of the executive board of the Federal Association of German Patent Attorneys e.V. (1998-2008) and, since 2008, member of the Board of PAVIS accounting-, information- and service organisation of the Patent Attorneys in Germany eG.
